The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The support place developed for intervention ordeals a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
